so it looks like there is a small down side to deleting the icons out of the PCSM folder, I spoke of. Today for some reason PCSM tried to recreate them all at once. I got several VC++ errors when trying to do an update of the share. On the fifth? one, it finally took and seems to be stable.

So here I am again, trying to reclaim disk space. This time I needed to defrag, man but who doesn’t, right? I find a 300MB file in c:\windows\system32 called http_ss.log. It locked to a process called, http_ss_win_pro.exe which appears to be serving up dlna. Man I dig my HDTV, but there are a lot of items to be cleaned up.

So I noticed I have a directory for PCSM that has 300MB in it, and it ain’t the share directory:
C:\Program Files\Samsung\SAMSUNG PC Share Manager\MediaRoot\HDD\Video\Video0
So I checked and found many images for files that I no longer had. So I just deleted the image in folders older than 2 months, well that did clear up some space but it appears that active images were in those folders. So no previews for those items, but they still seem to play just fine. As well I bet if I run an update I’ll get them back, more to come.

Seriously, did Samsung listen to my listen blog, and my ramblings? Is there, in fact justice and common sense in the world? Stay tuned Bat Fan’s and watch the skies…
The old links on my site seem to be redirected to a new version of the model page. As well there is a new downloads page:

Maybe 12/21/2012 isn’t real after all????

So as I mentioned before my model is gone from history, thanks a bunch Samsung. Couldn’t even leave an archive page up showing that you did create it.
Well I was able to latest PC Share Manager 4.2 from http://www.samsung.com/sg/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LA32C650L1MXXS/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support and it seems to work. No new functionality so far…

So I went to the Samsung US just now and I see that my model LN32B650 is gone. Nothing on the product pages and only a vague reference on a FAQ page. Has model gone off support after only a year or so? Well Great TV Samsung, but crappy support.
Thank you Google:

So this is a funny LN32B650 firmware bug. It appears that when I set the sleep mode, i.e. timed shutoff, the channel it is on when it turns off is removed from my favorites list. I need to start using this to get ride of the home shopping channels… LOL
